Men like things to be straightforward – and the same goes for their grooming routine. They want just a quick visit to the bathroom in the morning and evening. However, men’s skin comes under a lot of pressure, for example because of shaving, and often gets too little hydration. HE also needs to devote some attention to his daily skin care if he wants to radiate freshness and self-confidence. That’s easy with the following handy steps and time-saving grooming solutions.
STEP 1: Get under the shower
WWe don’t need to tell you how to take a shower – body and hair care with shampoo and shower gel are just par for the course. But we have a few useful life hacks that might come in handy:
- o If you want to save time, just before jumping into the shower, put a teaspoonful of FRESH tooth oil into your mouth, swirl it around and start oil-pulling. While you’re in the shower, the oil will bind the bacteria in your mouth and you can then spit them out into a paper towel, together with the excess oil. Then gently clean your teeth with a moistened toothbrush.
- o And why not include facial cleansing in your shower ritual without losing much time? FRESH cleanser removes dirt gently and thoroughly, and already starts grooming the skin as you cleanse.
- Make sure your shower isn’t too hot! Water that’s too hot dries out the skin. Turn down the temperature by a few degrees instead.
- When you’re lathering up – it doesn’t have to be a foam party! Firstly just wet your body, and then use a moderate amount of shower gel or soap. Too much of either can also dry out the skin.
- Exfoliating once or twice a week also helps to remove dead skin cells and will make your skin feel even better.
Shower must-haves: FRESH shampoo, FRESH body wash, FRESH cleanser
Add-ons for the shower: FRESH tooth oil, FRESH scrub
STEP 2: Sharpen your razor
When you shave, the skin often gets irritated, particularly with wet shaving. That’s why the right preparation and follow-on care is half the battle. By having a shower before you shave, you’ve already taken the right step because this softens up facial hairs preparing them to be cut. Ensure that your razor blades are really sharp. If in doubt, replace them.
To avoid annoying inflammations, always shave in the direction that your hair grows, and glide the razor over your skin without applying a lot of pressure. After that, rinse your skin with cold water to remove any stubble. You’re now perfectly prepared for the next step of grooming.
STEP 3: Moisturise
You’ve already done the cleaning under the shower. Now your skin needs hydration. After shaving, you can revive your skin with the right facial care – and this isn’t just something for vain men, but health-conscious ones as well. Because with the right care, the natural skin barrier can be strengthened, and cell renewal stimulated.
Toner supports the skin’s natural pH-value and provides moisture. FRESH tonic calm has a soothing effect, while FRESH tonic pure tones oily skin. Good to know: men get wrinkles too. If you’ve been using shower gel on your face too, you should switch over now to a combination of FRESH cleanser and FRESH tonic. Because shower gels leach lipids from the sensitive facial skin, drying it out and making it more susceptible to wrinkles. To combat that, you can start using FRESH anti wrinkle serum while you’re still “wrinkle-free”.
FRESH moisturiser for men is the crowning touch. This cream is the ideal solution for stressed male skin, delivering visible energy and elasticity. The complex of active ingredients is highly antioxidant, moisturising and balancing, and the product is quickly absorbed. What more can a MAN want?
STEP 4: Smell good
Das FRESH deodorant protects against unpleasant odours and supports the skin’s natural sweat-regulating function – entirely without questionable aluminium salts.
It is very rich, and very soothing on the skin. Thanks to the airless pump dispenser it’s extremely hygienic. After a shower, just put a little amount of the cream deodorant onto clean skin and let it dry.
Deodorant and fragrance are definitely a question of taste, but you should bear the following in mind:
- Whether it’s deodorant spray, roll-on or cream: deodorant should protect you for 24 hours and should contain no aluminium.
- The fragrance shouldn’t be overpowering – in this case, less is often more.
STEP 5: You’re all set to go
A final quick check in the mirror. Hair looking OK? Well shaved? Feel good in your skin? All done!
